Cambridge Teen Learners of English (TLE)

The Cambridge TLE Program is a mixed level course that combines communicative English lessons held on the school campus with optional integrated daily fun activities usually held off campus. Students improve their English, learn about our island home’s unique culture, and make new friends during their stay in Hawaii. Upon arrival, if this option is requested, our teens are welcomed into the home of one of our host families and made to feel part of their family during their stay.

Scheduled English lessons begin at 1:20 pm and end at 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, except holidays. In the mornings, students who have booked activities can join one of the exciting activities we have planned for them, whether it is spending a day at the beach, learning hula, hiking Diamond Head, or sailing on a Catamaran! Saturdays normally consist of a day long activity such as a tour around the island or a day at a water theme park. These activities give students a chance to interact in English with their classmates and make friends in a different environment. Sunday is a free day where students can relax! ※Prior to arrival, students need to take an online pretest at www.cambridgeenglish.org/test-your-english/for-schools/ and inform the school of the test results.
